Paul Thomas, M.D.

Paul Thomas, M.D., FAAP

Dr. Paul Thomas was born in Portland Oregon, grew up in Southern Africa, speaks some Shona and Spanish and is married with ten children (seven adopted). He has been active in pediatric programs at St. Vincent's Hospital and Emanuel Children's Hospital and is at times clinical faculty at OHSU in Portland, Oregon.

Dr. Thomas is a Christian and will show equal respect to the emotional and spiritual needs of children of all faiths.

He has masters in biology, M.D. from Dartmouth Medical School and pediatric residency at UCSD, and is a board-certified fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Thomas is also board-certified in Integrative and Holistic Medicine. He started the Pediatric After-hours Clinic (now Pediatric ER) at Emanuel Children's Hospital where he also taught medical students and residents from 1988-1993. He took health care to the migrant farm workers in partnership with Northwest Medical Teams. He was a full-time pediatrician at Westside Pediatrics from 1993 until 2008 when he opened his own practice: Integrative Pediatrics. He was named Top Family Doctor in America by Ladies Home Journal in 2004, and awarded "Top Pediatrician In America" in 2006, 2009, and 2012 by Castle Connoly.

Dr Thomas also opened Fair Start (a medical detox clinic) in February of 2009, and Pediatric Urgent Care in November of that same year. Current interests include preventative health, coordination with alternative health concepts and management of sick children. In addition to pediatrics, he enjoys his role as husband and dad. He was named Top Family Doctor in America by Ladies Home Journal in 2004, and awarded "Top Pediatrician In America" in 2006, 2009, and 2012 by Castle Connoly.

Dr Thomas (affectionately known as Dr Paul) is now on a mission to educate the public on the issues of toxins in the environment and in vaccines, and brings general pediatric and controversial topics to his patients in person and to the world on YouTube and his blogs. He is not against vaccines, but wants to guide people to vaccinate in as safe a manner possible and encourage the vaccine industry to improve the safety of the vaccines we currently have and develop safer options in the future.
